Jared chuckled as Delilah talked about the host. Well of course you couldn't see him now... There was a stupid song on. "He only comes on after the video. Durr Lilah." The boy cracked up as he combined her nickname with the 'durr' making it sound like Derlilah. That's pretty much what he called her when the answer seemed to be obvious, but he was never quite sure. Of course, he was only teasing. Jared couldn't ever really be mean to Delilah. It's like one of those things, that never happens.
Of course, Jared was going to pretend like everything was alright, and he was feeling fine, as if nothing had happened. He didn't want to make Delilah uncomfortable because he had said, and done, something stupid. The boy flipped his now, totally dry and straight hair, to the side, sweeping the hair away from his stormy blue orbs. The boy sighed deeply, and focused on the show. Now they were playing a song by the British band McFly. Apparently it was called 'Obviously'. Could the song be any more true? Recently I've been, Hopelessly reaching Out for this girl, Who's out of this world. Believe me.
For so many nights now I find myself thinking about her now.
'Cause obviously, She's out of my league But how can I win She keeps draggin' me in and I know I never will be good enough for her.
The boy buried his head in his hands, swaying slowly to the music. /Stupid, Stupid, Stupid. Just play it off easy./ The rebel boy took another gulp of his drink, and pretended like he couldn't hear the song. That would help right? Uh.. No.. but maybe. the boy looked up at the girl and gave her a soft smile. He then got up, and headed off the the mini fridge.
The boy shook his head, and grabbed her a can, obediently. A large smirk played across his light features as he headed back over to her. He put the can behind his back, and figured, Hell.. if she wants to play dumb, I'll play dumber. "Whats the magic worrddd??" he asked, standing directly in front of her at this point. The boy rolled the can around in his fingers a bit, awaiting the girls, most likely, smart ass reply.

Actually, she had watched the show a few times before, but it wasn't like she did all the time. She was more of a movie type of a girl... Nothing ever seemed to come on the television. Though she did like music videos. "DuhrrLilah?" she giggled. "You sound like one of those country hicks that come all from down south and crap." Delilah bit her bottom lip so that her two front teeth were shown clearly, as if she were a rabbit. She grabbed at her nonexistent suspender straps, and pretended to dance around while jumping on the bed. As soon as Jared started laughing at his own little joke though, she broke down and started laughing as well. "I had a friend once that always used to tell me it was a Southern name." she gasped as she recovered from the laughing. As far as she knew, nothing strange was going on between the two of them. Delilah lay down on her back, and stretched her arms out above her head. The fan was running, so she was perfectly comfortable. Not too hot, not too cold. Her hair was still relatively damp...if she wanted it to dry in the next forty-five minutes or so, she would probably have to use a hair dryer. Not like she really cared. Her hair was only slightly wavy when it wasn't straightened, so it wasn't too out of control. It got tangled more easily, but other than that, it wasn't a problem. Girls often complemented her on it. Straightening it every day must be a huge pain for some people. Delilah chuckled as she saw Jared flip his hair in the corner of her eye. "Going for a Fabio type of thing, there?" she grinned. She loved Jared more than anyone, but he did seem to adore his lucious locks a little more than he should. At least that's the impression Delilah got. Not like she minded. She found that aspect of him adorable. A song she didn't recognize came on the television, and for some reason, everything seemed to go quiet. Jared wasn't speaking, or laughing, or making fun of her. For a moment, the girl lay there, sprawled across the entire bed, listening to the song halfheartedly. It was alright, and was catchy...but it didn't make much of an impression on her. She kind of felt like getting up and dancing, but she was too lazy. Slight movement on the bed got her attention, and Delilah shifted her position so she could see Jared. After seeing his head in his hands, she was about to ask him what the matter was, but Jared beat her to it. He stood up and went to the mini fridge, taking out her drink. "Whats the magic worrddd??"Delilah rolled over onto her side, and then on her stomach, so she could see her friend easily. Smirking, she replied "Let's see..." She put her forefinger to her chin, as if she was in deep thought. "I know it's not Alakazam. Not Abrakadabra. Definitely not Open Sesame. So it must be something like Give Me The Damn Drink Before I Throw This Shoe At Your Head?" Her finger curled back into her palm as she used her elbows to support her body on the bed. "Yeah, that's it." Her lips curled into a smile.[/ul]

"I sound like a hick? Oh pleaseee, Lilah. How can a British boy like me, sound like a hick? It's pretty much impossible." The boy teased, a smile fixed on his light features. Always a joker, that Jared, but what can you do right? A chuckled escaped the boys lips, when she said she had a 'Southern' name. He had never really been to the states much.. and when he had, it was in New York City, and L.A. So he wasn't aware of what made a name, 'Southern'.
"Psh, Fabio would be lucky to have hair like this." the boy chuckled, and flipped his hair once more for dramatic effect. He wasn't obsessed with his hair or anything. Flipping his hair, or messing with it, was all nervous habit. Apparently it was more noticable than he had thought it was.
"Pretty close. I would have settled for a 'please' or a 'Jared you rock my socks', though." the boy chuckled, and handed her the can, then settled on the bed next to her, watching the new video come on. 'Hero Heroine' by Boys like Girls came on. Ohh.. The boy loved this song. Unlike Delilah, the rebel boy watched music videos a lot. Music was his life, and playing his bass, was his passion. He loved it more than life itself.

Delilah reasoned in a voice much too superior to be her own. Afterwards, she poked Jared on the nose with her pointer finger, a smile fixed onto her lips. "So I guess it turns out neither of us really know anything about southern names," she said, hitching up her pants so that they didn't fall below her waist. The sixteen year old couldn't help but release another smile at Jared's interpretation of Fabio. "Does that mean you're going to go and pose half-naked for those romance stories now?" she asked innocently, her dark, arched eyebrows raised. Delilah thought Jared modeling was a hilarious idea, but not entirely exaggerated. He wasn't bad looking... Surprised at herself, Delilah's eyebrows went from being raised to be scrunched onto her forehead. Had the thought of Jared Foster, just about her best friend, being...dare she say it? Hot? Delilah felt embarassed and apalled at herself for even thinking that. Her brownish-hazel eyes looked to the boy's face, and then down at her lap. Her nose scrunched like a rabbit's, and then she regained her normal stature. Delilah took the can from Jared, erasing what had just happened out of her mind for the moment, and pressed down the tab. "Oh," she said, looking at him like "please," was just abourt the craziest request she had ever heard. She sipped the drink, and looked to him with a shrug. "Why would I have to say that? You know you rock my socks." Grinning, Delilah placed the can on the bedside table, and scootched up next to her friend just as the Boys Like Girls song started to play. She loved the song, but hadn't seen the music video before. Reaching over to the light switch, she turned off the bright light so that the entire dorm was dark except for the bluish glow of the television set. Yawning, she pulled her feet up onto the bed and wrapped her arms around her knees. She was now so close to Jared, their shoulders were touching. Her eyes were somewhat heavy, which was strange, because she had just gulped down a bunch of beer five second ago, and it was hardly her so-called bedtime. It must have been getting near to midnight...lately, she'd been falling asleep around three or four in the morning. Hmmm... Maybe it was because she was with Jared? Somehow he seemed to calm her down. How, she didn't know. The girl took her can and sipped the drink again, but it didn't help, only made her feel a tiny bit lightheaded. Delilah leaned her head on Jared's shoulder; he wouldn't mind, she'd done it in the past. While listening to the song, she felt herself drift off into unconsciousness, her entire body then leaning onto the boy's for support. { ooc;; i'm so sorry it's longer than i meant it to be. xD i get carried away wayyy too easily. }[/ul]
