YOUR CHARACTER::
Name:: Delilah Anastasia Valentine
Age:: sixteen

Gender:: female
Clique:: scene
Personality::
If there was one word to describe Delilah Valentine, it would be 'oddball.' She is often thought of to be extremely strange, and she always does exactly what she wants, with no regard on whether or not people are looking at her in an unusual manner. She is a very outspoken female, although this may be considered as an understatement. Delilah will easily say whatever she thinks necessary without a second thought to whom she is speaking to. The girl has common sense, of course, though she's not the most intelligent individual. Sometimes she forgets that what she says may offend someone, though she doesn't usually mean to purposely hurt someone's feelings, unless she doesn't like them...obviously. She has been known to regret things she has said or done, though not enough to change her ways.
Delilah is always up for a challenge, though taking the easy way out is also just as fine. She loves the chance to prove someone else wrong or weaker than herself, but she also loves it when she can get something amazing for as little work as possible. She doesn't mind taking risks, though she is known to protect herself over people that don't matter as much to her. She never backs out of a fight that has already started, and if needed, would be willing to fight until the death. She is dainty, but all woman, which could translate to she's stronger than any man. She has a wicked sense of humor and sarcasm, which can sting an opponent more than a tiny fist in the face. Embarrassment and quick wit works much better in a brawl than her body ever would. She is small, though fierce.
She makes friends easily, as it's easy to get along with her, though it takes a great deal to get very close to her. This young woman has few very close friends, but those few remain in her heart, and she would do absolutely anything for them. It also takes a good amount of work to get her to trust someone. A person must do something incredible for her to trust them entirely, and that even goes for her closest friends and family.
She can be your best friend or worst enemy, which all probably depends on her mood at the time. She is in no way a snob or egotistical, and she tries to never judge people at first glance. She will give almost anyone a chance, but she refuses to put up with idiocy.
In other news, Delilah is quite the socialite. She adores to party, dance, and once in awhile even treat herself to the occasional drink. She doesn't mistreat alcohol, as she knows what it can do to a person's mind, but she has been known to get tipsy a few times. She is, however, reliable, and not a dingbat. She is extremely trustworthy, and wouldn't dare share anyone's personal thoughts or secrets with anyone else. In a bad situation, she is capable of getting hysterical, but can usually maintain her cool.
As well as being a strong person, Delilah is also very softhearted. She is prone to crying or tearing up when something sad comes along. Chick-flicks, natural disasters, soap-operas, you name it...Ms Valentine is probably crying over it. She doesn't enjoy crying, as some do, it's just something that comes over her. When it comes to herself, she never cries. If she's angry, she will scream or throw things, but never cry. Usually, she only cries over someone else's problems instead of her own. In general, she is actually an extremely happy person, and loves life to the full extent. Delilah is an optimist, and delights in helping other people when they're feeling down.
Appearance::
At 5'2", Delilah is extremely short for her age. Her build is just as tiny, with her skinny limbs (looking more stick like than anything) and small waist. Many compare her to a mouse, which is slightly ironic, considering her temperament is the complete opposite. Her weight adds up to about 102lbs, though no one would know for sure, seeing as the girl hardly ever steps foot on a scale. Unlike some other girls, Delilah could care less about her weight. Many call her too thin, and she knows it; she simply does not care. Even a few rumors relating to an eating disorder did not rattle her. Her physician claims she is perfectly healthy, therefore why should it matter what other people believe?
Delilah's hair, however, is one of her more acceptable features. Dark brown tresses travel down to her back, a bit past her shoulders, in waves. Her hair is naturally a dark brown, looking almost black when standing in the sun. The parting is slightly off to the side, resulting in her hair covering her left eye, but not nearly enough to hide it entirely. Usually, Delilah leaves her rather unruly hair to itself, but once in awhile she'll straighten it. She rarely curls it, seeing as it's already wavy enough for her liking, but she has done before. Delilah wears her hair down most of the time, sometimes putting it up into various arrangements or shoving it under a hat.
Her eyes are a golden-hazel, which reflect brightly in the sun. The only makeup she really wears is black eyeliner, sometimes adding a small amount of eyeshadow, lipstick, or gloss for a special occasion. Her skin is pale, but not white.

History::
Delilah Anastasia Valentine was born on Halloween night on a cool, and frostbitten day, in a hospital located in the middle of Queens, New York. Her parents, Johnathon and Charisse, were extremely happy to have her, and from then on, cherished her. Delilah was born as an only child, making her slightly spoiled, though not enough for her to turn out that way. Her mother made her learn how to share from a young age, and limited her wants. She was born into an extremely wealthy family; her grandparents helped to found a greeting card company, and some of her ancestors could even be traced back to royalty. Delilah lived a wonderful childhood indeed, where her parents gave her a cushioned lifestyle.
Holidays were always treated with great respect, and huge feasts were always served. The Valentines didn't consist of many family members, though the small group of four or five continued to meet during those specific times in the year. Delilah then got to know her lovely older cousin, who served as a type of role model for her. The boy was wonderful in her eyes, and she tried to copy everything he did. If it wasn't for him, Delilah may have turned out as one of those girls who only cared about material things. He taught her to laugh her loudest when she found something funny, and to be herself in front of others no matter what the cost. He proved that showing her true colors got her the best friends, not the fake ones.
Doing well in school was never a problem during those elementary years, but as the years past by, Delilah began to slack off more and more. She continued to pass things with ease, but those once high B's and one low A began to turn into low C's and D's. Perhaps it was that she transformed into a social butterfly; at least that's what her excuse was. When entering high school, Delilah did slightly better academically. She would always do what was required of her, but nothing more. She would make average grades, but they were never anything special. Boyfriends and flings also tended to take up her time, though nothing serious has occurred yet.
Her parents started to harass Delilah about a future college or career choice as soon as she started her sophomore year, which did cause a problem on her case. She had decided that she would aim high for college, which meant New York University. Of course at that point she didn't have the grades, but she figured she would be able to pull them up before she graduated...right? After all, if none of that worked out, she would just as happily lead a career as a celebrity stylist or beautician. She wasn't counting on leaving high school for such dreams, though maybe she would become a beauty school college dropout; it all depended on her future situation. Either way, Delilah was never the type of girl to worry about the future, when the now was sitting there and staring her in the face. She would handle what was on her plate now, and see what life gave her for the future.
Just when she was about to reach her freshman year, a sudden change in plans greeted Delilah. She was flown out to Hawaii of all places, her father saying that it was essential for his work. He refused to tell her the exact reason, saying that she needn't worry about it, and it was then that she gave up trying to ask.
